Coca-Cola adds Pedal Power to National Bike Week

National Bike Week is currently taking place across Ireland and Coca-Cola HBC Ireland, a partner in the week long cycling celebration, will provide refreshing beverages to hydrate hundreds of cyclists at a number of key events.

Bike Week, which was launched by Public Transport Minister, Alan Kelly in Dublin, is a week dedicated to promoting cycling as a healthy, low cost and fun way to get around.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Kelly said “This year’s Bike Week will be among the best yet. Cycling is continuing to grow in popularity in Ireland. It’s practically free and it’s healthy. Everybody should try and get involved. Whether for travel or for fun, cycling is one of the cheapest ways to travel and has a proven health benefit with it.”

Bike Week is an initiative of the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport. Bike Week events, which take place all over the island of Ireland are free and are organised by local authorities, community groups and cycling groups in every county.
