‘Best Energy Manager’ Award for Coca-Cola
Paul Carson, Engineering Services Manager at Coca-Cola HBC Ireland has been named ‘Best Energy Manager’ at the 2011 Sustainable Ireland Awards.
Paul was presented with the award, sponsored by Energia, at a glittering ceremony at the Ramada Hotel in Belfast where the keynote speaker was Environment Minister, Alex Attwood.
The award was for an individual who has achieved notable energy savings within their company or organisation and an independent panel of judges was impressed at Paul’s implementation of a wide range of energy saving initiatives that have so far reduced the company’s CO2 emissions by 70%.
Paul has also been instrumental in introducing the first QUAD generation CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plant in Ireland and the UK and has built energy saving maintenance routines into the company’s maintenance schedule, resulting in significant energy savings.
